While the Academic Exchanges Office of the Public Affairs Section coordinates and oversees the exchange programs funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State, the actual administration, including distribution of applications and recruitment of candidates, is conducted by nongovernmental organizations operating in Ukraine, such as American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS, and IREX. Regional Educational Advising Centers provide information on studying in the U.S.
