The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy sponsors a variety of cultural programming including visits by American performers, exhibits of American art works, and visiting lectures by prominent specialists in many fields. Some recent events are listed below.

EVENTS
Embassy Kyiv Marks Black History Month with DVC on Diversity and Globalization
On February 27, forty American Studies instructors and students from various academic institutions, Fulbright alumni and scholars, as well as grantees of the Democracy Commission student government initiative, marked Black History Month by participating in a digital video conference "From the Civil Rights Movement to Diversity and Globalization: A Historical Context for Transformational Change" with Professor James Anderson from the University at Albany.

US Fulbright Scholar Promotes American Studies in Luhansk
On February 21-27, English Language Fellow Ross Stenseth assigned his American Studies students at Luhansk National Pedagogical University the task of doing research on each state in the United States and giving a report about their findings in class.

"Duo Rudenko" Performs in Ukraine
On April 3 and April 4, Ruth and Daniel Koppelman, Fulbright Scholars from the Music Department of Furman University in Greenville, SC, held master classes and concerts for music students and lovers in Kyiv.
