The Academic Exchanges Office of the Public Affairs Section coordinates and provides information on U.S. Academic Exchange Programs for Ukrainian students, teachers, professors, and researchers primarily in the social sciences and humanities. Participation in these exchange programs is determined on the basis of a free and open competition for qualified, English-speaking applicants and is announced every autumn. US Embassy is pleased to announce a new Higher Education Administration competition in the Hubert H. Humphrey Program

Higher Education Administration is now a new field added to the Humphrey program. The specialty is intended for individuals who devote a significant portion of their professional lives to policy formation, strategic decision-making, planning, and management in higher education. Individuals holding administrative or policy-making positions at institutions of higher education, non-profit organizations, or government ministries are eligible, as are faculty members with significant responsibilities in functional areas of higher education administration.

Deadline for submission of applications is July 1, 2009.

2010-2011 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship for Mid-Career Professionals

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine announces the launch of the 2010-2011 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship for Mid-Career Professionals. This is a ten-month, non-degree program for Ukrainian mid-career professionals who have a completed professional degree and at least five years of substantial professional experience in the corresponding field. English proficiency is required.

Fields for 2010-2011 Academic Year:

  • Agricultural and Rural Development
  • Economic Development/Finance and Banking
  • HIV/AIDS Policy and Prevention
  • Natural Resources/Environmental Policy/Climate Change
  • Public Health Policy and Management
  • Urban and Regional Planning
