Public hours for American citizens and others
(Consular Section is prepared to deal with emergencies at any time every day of the week. Emergencies include, but are not limited to: arrest, serious illness, and death of an American citizen.)

U.S. Embassy is closed on U.S. and Ukrainian holidays
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy will be closed to the public on June 16, 2008, June 27, 2008, June 30, 2008 and on July 4, 2008.
Emergency assistance during these days will be handled by the Embassy Duty Officer at (+38 044) 490-4000. For emergency assistance on July 4, 2008, you can contact the American Citizens Services Unit directly at (+38 044) 490 4445. As the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv will be closed on Friday, June 27, 2008 and Friday, July 4, 2008, for these two weeks only, notary services will be available on Thursday, June 26, 2008 and Thursday, July 3, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m.
